September 22nd marks the official first day of fall and if you’re anything like us, you’re looking for new activities and festive things to do in Riverside & Corona to make the most of the season.

If you’re wondering how to spend your time this fall, you’re in luck! We scoped out all of the local events taking place during the autumn months and we’ve curated a list of the best activities for you to attend. Here are the top 5 things to do in Riverside & Corona this fall!

1. Magnolia Market Nights

First on the list is Magnolia Market Nights!

Riverside’s Market Night is happening now until October 15th at the Magnolia Center Marketplace. The marketplace brings together 70+ local vendors and businesses to enjoy a night in the community. There’s a variety of local food vendors to choose from for dinner or a sweet treat, great shopping from craft, artisan, vintage and small business vendors, live music and entertainment, and a beer garden hosted by Wick’s Brewing & Route 30!

The marketplace is dog-friendly and a great time for all ages.

When: 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month, 4pm-9pm

Where: Magnolia Center Marketplace (across from Riverside Plaza at Sunnyside Dr. & Magnolia Ave.)

Cost: Entrance is free

 

2. 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Car Show

Next we have the 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Car Show at Arlington Village.

The Chili Cook-Off and Car Show is a family friendly event with tons of activities for children and adults alike. There’s a Kid’s Zone with jumpers, crafts and games and a beer garden for our 21 and over attendees.

You’ll enjoy live music, delicious food, and a wide variety of street vendors and classic cars.

When: Saturday, September 3rd

Where: Arlington Village – 9225 Magnolia Ave, Riverside CA 92503

Cost: Entrance is free

 

3. Riverside Tamale Festival

The 9th Annual Riverside Tamale Festival takes place in September at White Park in Downtown Riverside.

The Tamale Festival is a celebration of family and food, supporting the preservation of Trujillo Adobe, a 157-year old local historic landmark. The festival is a great opportunity to experience the talent in our community, with local bands, dancers, musicians and Lucha Libre for entertainment.

The festival also has art displays, children’s activities, a beer garden and of course… Tamales!

When: Saturday, September 10th

Where: White Park – 3885 Market Street, Riverside CA 92501

Cost: $20 Admission, $10 for Military and Senior Discounts

 

4. Coffin Creek Haunted Village

Heading into October, you must celebrate the arrival of Halloween with a haunted house! 

None beats the Coffin Creek Haunted Village where there are 5 haunted attractions and a scary marketplace, all at one frightening location. The current attractions include The Brimstone Asylum for the Criminally Insane, The Catacombs and the Raven Cult, The Curse of VooDoo Bayou, The Dark Realm and the Shady Hollow Hayride. While you’re there, stop by the Dark Shadow Market Place to shop to your horror-loving heart’s content from a variety of vendors.

This year they’re celebrating 15 Years of Fear so there will be plenty of spooky moments to go around!

When: Every weekend from October 7th-October 30th

5. The Pumpkin Factory

Last but not least — you can’t make a fall festivity list without including a pumpkin patch!

There are several pumpkin patches to choose from in Riverside and Corona, and The Pumpkin Factory in Corona is one of the best. Opening October 1st, pick the perfect pumpkin from the patch to celebrate the season.

The Pumpkin Factory not only has a selection of pumpkins grown on a family-owned farm, there are also rides, games, delicious food and a petting zoo. It’s a fun-filled time for the whole family!
